I purchased a Thunder & Lightning Effects controller and CD from Haunt Masters. Here's a link: http://hauntmasterproducts.com/products.html

The controller is a light organ device and the CD has the thunder on two tracks, one a few seconds behind the other. The first track controls the lightning, which flashes before you hear the 2nd track thunder with is used to feed the speakers.
